Bulong Estate is located in the Upper Yarra Valley, an area recognised as being one of the best in the Yarra Valley for the production of high quality cool climate grapes.
Since 1995 we have been growing grapes here and our family-owned and run Estate has been dedicated to making high quality wine since 2002.
Bulong Estate is now a destination in its own right. With spectacular views to the Yarra Ranges and Mount Donna Buang, the Winery, Cellar door and Restaurant is the perfect place to relax with quality food and wine. |

Bulong Estate is a fabulous place to celebrate your special occasion. We are suited to small to medium functions and we are more than happy for you to hold your Wedding ceremony in our garden with the vines and mountains as a backdrop free of charge.

We can help you celebrate any special occasion, or business function, on weekends or during the week. You have exclusive use of our Restaurant and our chef will work with you to create a menu suitable to your occasion.

James Halliday 5 stars and "A dark horse"
Congratulation to Matt and his team on achieving a 5 star Winery rating from James Halliday in his 2012 edition of the Australian Wine Companion.
One of his "Ten dark horses"
Not only that but he lists us as one of his "Ten dark horses" on page 49 of his book. These are a very small group of wineries that have produced a particularly impressive series of wines for this edition.
To quote James Halliday..
"Matt Carter's winemaking has gained confidence as the vineyard has matured....Quality Sauvignon Blanc, Pinot Gris, Chardonnay and Cabernet Sauvignon is quite a quartet."

 Warm up with our Winter menu and Museum Wines
Matt has raided his Museum stock and has decided that he has enough to share!
We can now enjoy a selection of Bulong Estate delicious wines from years past. Matt Carter our wine maker has carefully stored them over the years and has made a selection for our wine list in the Restaurant. You can read Matt's comments on the wines and also some suggestions of which dishes he and Yoshi think they will suit on the menu.
Speaking of the menu we are now serving our delcious Winter menu. Warm up with delicious Braised Wagyu Cheeks or Americon Pork spare ribs.
