Bulong Estate Cabernet Franc 2012
A medium to full bodied wine, with excellent structure and balance between the fruit, acid and tannins. The nose is highlighted by violets, with a hint of cedar while the palate displays blackberries and redcurrants.
The 2012 Cabernet Franc is well suited to meat dishes such as beef or game.
Cabernet Franc was hand picked from two distinctly different parts of our vineyard, giving different flavour profiles. Then fermented in open pots and hand plunged in order to extract maximum flavour and colour.
Fermentation was completed in a combination of new and older French oak and matured for a further 12 months in this oak before bottling. The wine was then given six months in bottle before release.
